Reviews reflect individual customer opinions and experiences. They do not guarantee specific coverage, pricing, service timing, or claim outcomes.

Our office is in Wesley Chapel, in the Tampa Bay area. We work with clients across Florida by phone, text and video, and if you would like to meet in person, call us to set up a time.

In Tampa Bay, your home can be in Pasco, your family doctor in Hillsborough and your specialist across the bay in Pinellas. A plan that looks good on a comparison screen may not include all three. That is why we check where you actually get care before you pick a plan.

We help with ACA Marketplace plans, Medicare Advantage and Part D, and standalone dental and vision. Tell us what brought you here: a renewal increase, a job plan that ended, a prescription problem, a new baby or a move to Medicare.

Marketplace plans available in Tampa Bay

Your plan choices depend on your home address and county, not the name “Tampa Bay.” A household in Hillsborough may see different plans than one in Pasco, Pinellas or Hernando. Use the address where you live, even if you work in another county. HealthCare.gov explains how to compare plans.

We start with your ZIP code, your tax household and your expected income for the year. The application decides whether you qualify for a premium tax credit or for lower costs on a Silver plan. Someone can qualify to buy a plan and still not qualify for help paying for it. Our ACA income guide explains what goes into the estimate.

If your income changes from month to month, as it often does for contractors, drivers and small business owners, use an honest estimate and update it when things change. Then compare what the plan costs when you use it: the deductible, specialist copays, drug costs and the out-of-pocket maximum. A lower premium can mean higher costs when you need care.

Timing matters too. Open Enrollment is for yearly changes. Outside it, you usually need a Special Enrollment Period, and HealthCare.gov says you usually have 60 days before or 60 days after an event like losing job coverage or moving to enroll. Tell us the date your old coverage ends, not just the day you left the job.

Medicare Advantage plans in Tampa Bay

Medicare Advantage and Part D plans are offered by county, so neighbors on two sides of a county line can see different plans. A friend’s plan card or a TV ad for extra benefits doesn’t tell you what you can enroll in.

We start with your Medicare dates, any job or retiree coverage, your doctors, your prescriptions and your pharmacy. For Medicare Advantage, we check the medical network and referral rules. For drug coverage, we run your actual prescriptions instead of looking only at the premium. Medicare Plan Finder is the official tool for comparing plans.

Some people qualify for a Special Needs Plan because of a chronic condition or because they have both Medicare and Medicaid. Eligibility and local availability have to be checked. Our agency focuses on Medicare Advantage and Part D; we do not sell Medigap. For free, unbiased Medicare counseling, you can call 1-800-MEDICARE or contact Florida SHINE.

Key numbers for 2026 and 2027

These federal figures are the same in Tampa Bay as anywhere in Florida. They change every year, and we update this page when the new figures are published.

What it is20262027
Marketplace out-of-pocket maximum, one person$10,600$12,000
Marketplace out-of-pocket maximum, family$21,200$24,000
Medicare Part B standard premium$202.90 a monthNot published yet
Medicare Part B deductible$283 a yearNot published yet
Medicare Part D out-of-pocket cap$2,100$2,400
Highest deductible a Part D plan may have$615$700

The Marketplace out-of-pocket maximum is the most you pay in a year for covered in-network care, not counting premiums. Your plan’s limit can be lower.

Open Enrollment for 2027 Marketplace coverage starts November 1, 2026. Enroll by December 15 for coverage that starts January 1. Check HealthCare.gov for the final end date. With Medicare, a one-month supply of each covered insulin product costs no more than $35, with no deductible.

Checking your local doctors and hospitals

Tampa Bay’s large hospital systems include Tampa General Hospital, BayCare (with St. Joseph’s in Tampa, Morton Plant in Clearwater and BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel) and AdventHealth, along with other hospitals and many independent practices. Plans don’t all include the same hospitals, and a hospital being in network doesn’t mean every doctor who works there is. Check your plan’s network for the exact plan, not the insurer’s name or a logo in a brochure.

Give us each doctor’s full name, specialty and office address. Add any hospital, surgery center, imaging center or lab you use. A doctor can be in network at one office and not at another.

We start with the insurer’s current directory for that exact plan and plan year. When the answer is unclear, we check with the insurer, and it can help to call the doctor’s billing office too. “We take that insurance” at the front desk is not the same as confirming your plan.

For planned surgery or ongoing treatment, the surgeon, facility, anesthesia group and lab may each bill separately. Being in network does not remove prior authorization. For prescriptions, give us the drug name, dose and pharmacy. Our network guide and drug-tier guide cover the next questions.

How we help in English, Spanish and Arabic

We assist in English, Spanish, and Arabic. You should be able to ask why a plan was suggested, what went on the application and what still needs to be confirmed. A deductible isn’t automatically bad, and a familiar insurer isn’t automatically the right fit. We look at your expected care, doctors, prescriptions and total costs together.

Help continues after enrollment with ID cards, billing questions, requested documents, portal access and plan changes when they are allowed. With your consent, we can also help you get Marketplace tax forms such as Form 1095-A; a tax professional should handle the tax return. The insurer and the Marketplace make their own coverage and eligibility decisions, and we can’t promise that a denied service will be approved.

Call, text or send your information

Text or WhatsApp 813-302-7151 is usually the fastest way to start. Send your ZIP code, the coverage you need, your main concern and a good time to call. If there’s a deadline, like job coverage ending or a scheduled procedure, tell us the date.

Our hours are Monday through Saturday, 9am to 9pm. There is no fee for our help; the insurance company pays us when you enroll. Please keep Medicare numbers, Social Security numbers and medical records out of a first message; we’ll set up a safer way to share documents. A request for help does not start coverage or extend an enrollment deadline. You can also use our contact page.

Tampa Bay community resources

Some questions are better answered by a public program or a clinic than by an insurance agency.

A clinic being listed here doesn’t mean a particular plan includes it, so check the exact plan before you enroll. Our agency does not complete general Medicaid or KidCare applications. We can help with applications for Medicare Extra Help and Medicare Savings Programs.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. For information on all of your options, please contact Medicare.gov, call 1-800-MEDICARE, or contact your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the best health insurance agent in Tampa Bay?

The best agent for you is a licensed one who checks your own doctors, prescriptions and county before suggesting a plan. Ask which insurers the agent works with and what help you get after enrollment.

Which hospitals are in-network in Tampa Bay?

It depends on the exact plan and plan year; there is no single in-network list for Tampa Bay. Tampa General, BayCare, AdventHealth and other hospitals can be in one plan’s network and not another’s. Send us the hospitals and specialists you use and we will check each one.

Do you offer Medicare plans in Tampa Bay?

Yes. We help eligible Tampa Bay clients compare the Medicare Advantage and Part D plans available through our agency in their county, including Special Needs Plans where available. For free, unbiased counseling, you can also contact Florida SHINE.

Can we meet in person?

Yes, by appointment. Our office is in Wesley Chapel, in the Tampa Bay area, and most clients meet with us by phone, text or video. Call 813-302-7151 to set up a time.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. We assist clients in Spanish, English, and Arabic. Tell us which language you prefer when requesting the appointment.
